OVERVIEW
Melanie Morrison shares her message to promote unity during a time of pandemic, racial unrest and economic hardship. The George Floyd incident motivated Melanie, who’s recently retired from a long successful career, to get directly involved with the problems she’s seen over the years in our society. This project came from a natural progression of collaboration with SW Soul Circuit since 2014.
THE MESSAGE
Our hope with this project is to encourage all of us to think more critically about how we treat the people around us at a time that is the most stressful in modern history. We also seek to provide financial help to creators of music who seek to further their training/coaching during this pandemic. As we continue the mission of SW Soul Circuit to uplift, inspire and entertain the community by combining community service and music, we welcome others to join in our efforts.
WHO BENEFITS
Young musicians and performers in need will receive coaching and studio services from Kevin Hamilton and Southwest Soul Circuit. Southwest Soul Circuit will use funds to update recording and studio equipment to better serve the community.
PROJECT DETAILS:
All instruments and media recorded, captured and produced by Kevin Hamilton of Southwest Soul Circuit, except for Mike Levy on bass guitar, Tanishia Hamilton on background vocals, Shekinah Weekly on background vocals.
